The Post Guides* contain the guidelines of the Australian Postal Corporation regarding the provision of postal services within Australia. These guides are published periodically.

To order copies of the Post Guides, complete and fax back the order form. The initial subscription for Post Guides (includes guide folder, current issues and revisions/amendments) costs $50 for that year e.g. 2007. Each November, renewal notices for the Post Guide service will be issued for an annual subscription fee of $20.

The Dangerous & Prohibited Goods and Packaging Post Guide contains the standards of the Australian Postal Corporation regarding:

goods that must not be posted
conditions of posting and packaging for certain other goods.

See also new customer guidelines re sending lithium batteries in the post. Information current as at 22 July 2009 and replaces the guidelines in the Dangerous Goods Guide, which will be updated in due course.
