Reply Paid Address Formats

Overview

 

Barcoded (pre-printed) small envelopes are the preferred format, and attract lower charges. Handwritten formats are also acceptable. The address format must follow the structure provided in the artwork you received.

 

Box Addresses

 

Where Reply Paid mail is addressed to a GPO Box or a Post Office Box, the following address structure will apply:

Name of addressee

Reply Paid 1234 text "Reply Paid" followed by Box number (1234)
BLACKBURN  VIC  3130 locality name, state abbreviation and postcode


The box number also acts as the Reply Paid address, with the words 'Reply Paid' and the structure clearly identifies the letter as Reply Paid mail.

Non Box Addresses

 

Where Reply Paid mail is addressed to a street address, locked bag or roadside mail service, the following address structure will apply:

 

Mr Handy Man

 

Name of addressee

 

Reply Paid 72534 text "Reply Paid" followed by the address number (72534)
GLENELG  SA  5045 locality name, state abbreviation and postcode
