Australia Post will today honour Australia’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 champions with a souvenir stamp sheet (SSS) commemorating the team’s historic fourth ICC Cricket World Cup win.
 
Just one week after the Australian cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in the final, these celebratory stamp sheets go on sale at participating Australia Post outlets around the country.

This special edition SSS features two images of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Champions on the selvedge around the ten 50 cent stamps. Each stamp tab will feature an image of the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy.

The two images on the stamp selvedge capture the moment the tournament was won and the Australian cricket team celebrating with the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy. The final match score – Australia 4/281 v Sri Lanka 8/215 – that delivered Australia its fourth Cricket World Cup is also featured on the SSS.

Designed as an affordable collectable of this historic win, the SSS retails for $15.95 and is presented in a green envelope.

Australia dominated the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, defeating Sri Lanka convincingly by 53 runs in a rain affected final match. This win extended Australia’s undefeated streak in World Cup cricket to a record 29 games. Australia was victorious in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1987, 1999 and 2003.
