Simple and secure cash back promotion management
Australia Post can take the hassle out of your cash back promotions by allowing your customers to redeem cash at over 3,300 Australia Post outlets nationwide. Look at just some of the benefits:
- saves time - reduces administration
- improves sales
- provides customer data
- streamlines fulfillment.
Making cash back promotions simple
There's no denying that cash back promotions are a really effective way to attract new customers and boost sales.
Let's say you have a product that you're trying to clear quickly. By offering customers a cash back incentive with their purchase, you can create a tremendous incentive for them to buy the product.
However, in the past, the cash redemption process has been complex, costly and onerous to administer - often distracting your staff from more important activities, such as customer service and sales.
But with Australia Post's Cash Rewards service, you can completely outsource the administration involved in your cash back promotions.
Easy for you, easy for your customers
By using the Cash Rewards service, you can completely eliminate the redemption forms, self-addressed envelopes, cheque production and reconciliation processes that are typically associated with cash back offers. Your customers can redeem cash, on the spot, at any one of over 3,300 Australia Post outlets nationwide displaying the Bank@Post sign.
Australia Post compiles a consolidated daily report, with a complete record of the cash back claims handled on behalf of your business – including the date, location, reference number and amount of each transaction.
We can even capture your customer’s contact details, so that you can use them in your future marketing campaigns, subject to privacy laws.
Simple and secure
The Cash Rewards service is driven by a barcode, which is printed on your customer’s cash redemption vouchers. When your customers present their redemption vouchers in one of our postal outlets, we scan the voucher’s barcode and check the proof-of-purchase documentation to ensure the claim’s validity. Once the claim is validated, customers are given their cash, along with a receipt and their original proof-of-purchase. It’s that simple.
We work with your business to ensure that you have the correct specifications to print barcoded redemption vouchers that can be accurately and securely read by the point-of-sale scanning equipment in our outlets. The barcode technology can be used to prevent duplicate processing of a claim. And a record of claim status – either “unclaimed”, “redeemed” or “cancelled” – is maintained in a central database.
A very adaptable solution
The application of the Cash Rewards service is virtually unlimited. It can be used for:
- payment of government rebates and incentives
- refund claim vouchers
- retail promotions and warranty rewards
- manufacturer promotions through retail distributors
- mail order and online sales promotions.
Cash back promotions are particularly effective when incorporated into a direct mail campaign. For this reason, we’ve designed the Cash Rewards service so it can be combined seamlessly with any of the Australia Post Bulk Mail delivery services, including PreSort, Charity Mail, Print Post, Impact Mail and Acquisition Mail.
How the Cash Rewards service works
The process involved in offering your customers a cash back promotion via postal outlets is really quite simple.
|
Step 1
You promote your cash back offer to your customers, in your mass advertising, in-store or via direct mail. |
 |
Step 2
Your customer purchases the product, or service or required activity and becomes eligible for a cash redemption. |
 |
Step 3
You issue a redemption coupon to the customer that incorporates a barcode and instructions for redeeming cash at any Australia Post outlet displaying the Bank@Post sign. |
 |
Step 4
Your customer visits the postal outlet with the redemption coupon and proof-of-purchase. |
 |
Step 5
Australia Post staff validate your customer’s claim by scanning the coupon’s barcode and checking that the proof-of-purchase falls within the promotional period. |
 |
Step 6
Your customer receives the cash and a receipt, plus the original proof-of-purchase. |
 |
Step 7
The redemption form is stored in a central location and Australia Post compiles a consolidated report of all claims made by your customers. |
