Changes to Express Post Platinum service

On 23 March 2009, there will some subtle changes to Express Post Platinum.

 

Change Item  Detail
Improvements to the Express Post Platinum network The Express Post Platinum next day delivery network will expand to match the standard Express Post network, with the exception of Express Post Platinum deliveries to and from WA. 
Change to guaranteed overnight delivery by courier by midday to business addresses Midday delivery to business addresses is no longer guaranteed.
Reduction in price The price of the Express Post Platinum satchels has been reduced to reflect the removal of the midday guarantee.  Bulk discounts still apply for packs of ten and more.
Proof of posting The customer receipt is endorsed as an approved method of proof of shipment by PayPal when the item is lodged over the counter of an Australia Post outlet. Proof of shipment is a necessary requirement when seeking eligibility for seller protection. More information is available on the PayPal website at www.paypal.com.au/sellerprotection.
Introduction of an Express Post Platinum parcel service Express Post Platinum parcel labels are available over the counter from Australia Post retail outlets. The new labels require you to sign the Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods declaration only. Therefore both the addressee and sender details need to be written on your parcel clearly.
Interim changes to Express Post Platinum tracking An integrated solution for tracking your Express Post Platinum items is due for release over the coming months. In the interim you will be required to select a radio button based on the origin and/or destination of your article before entering your article number. You may also see different descriptors for some scan events.
