The Guarantee

Delivery is guaranteed within the Express Post Platinum networks on the next business day, provided the Express Post Platinum item is correctly addressed and lodged (or collected by Australia Post) by the required time on any business day Monday to Friday. If Australia Post does not deliver as promised, we will provide another Express Post Platinum item to the same value free or refund postage charges for the parcel service. 

For the guarantee to be valid, all the checklist and lodgement requirements must be completed.  Items dispatched to and from postcodes outside the Express Post Platinum networks are given the fastest possible delivery on a non-guaranteed basis.

Service conditions

Express Post Platinum is carried under the  Australia Post Terms and Conditions. Under these terms and conditions:

• Australia Post accepts no liability for consequential loss or damage whatsoever. Compensation for loss or damage to an Express Post Platinum item may be payable but the amount of compensation is limited.
• The Express Post Platinum item must not contain dangerous or prohibited goods, or valuables (including cash, gold, jewellery, precious stones, negotiable securities etc).
• Express Post Platinum items:
  • Are only valid for one posting.
  • May not be posted to overseas destinations.
  • Are not guaranteed overnight delivery to remote rural addresses in country areas which have the same postcode as a township in the networks.

If sending to or from Western Australia, items addressed to post office boxes may be delivered later than normal post office box delivery times.

Dangerous goods

Dangerous goods classified by CASA cannot be carried by air; therefore, they cannot be sent by Express Post Platinum. Dangerous goods include:

• explosives
• flammable materials
• radioactive materials
• aerosols

If the Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods Declaration on the front of an Express Post Platinum item is NOT signed then that item cannot go by air and may be returned to you for your signature or forwarded by road.
