Here are some ideas.

Start with the Stamps section of the Australia Post website. This site has lots of interesting facts and information about stamps and stamp collecting, as well as details of the latest Australian stamp releases.
- At your local post office you can buy the equipment and stamps you need to start and build up your stamp collection.
- Exhibitions at the Post Master Gallery in Melbourne, Victoria are an interesting way to learn more about particular topics that interest you. You can find out what’s on in the Exhibitions area of the Australia Post stamps site.
- Talk to your parents, relations and friends about their stamp collections. You’ll learn about the sorts of stamps they collect, why they collect them and how they find special stamps for their collections. You’ll get some great ideas for your own collection.
- There are lots of sites on the Internet that are about stamps and stamp collecting. Ask your parents or teacher to help you find some that have information about the topics you’re interested in.
