  Standard Service

Registered Post is available with:

• Standard letters
• Regular parcels
• Prepaid Parcel Post - satchels (with specially marked Registered Post section)

  Benefits of Registered Post within Australia

• A unique identification number for every article
• Proof of posting is available only when an article is presented at a post office counter and accompanied by a Registered Post lodgement form (required for all enquiries or claims)
• A signature obtained on delivery
• Compensation of up to $100 is included.

The price of prepaid labels includes Registered Post fee only.

• Box of 50 at a cost of $115.00

Registered Post Imprints

Ideal for large volumes of registered mail.

• The Registered Post fee is $2.30 and postage is payable at lodgement.

 Registered Post Options for Delivery Assurance

Domestic Delivery Confirmation

Simply obtain and fill out a delivery confirmation card and send it with your Registered Post article. This card is signed by the recipient, then postmarked and returned by post to you, giving you proof and peace of mind that your article was delivered. This cannot be used in conjunction with prepaid Parcel Post satchels.

• Price: $1.90 per article

Domestic Person-to-Person

This option provides a label denoting person-to-person delivery which is attached to the Registered Post article. This must be specifically signed for by the person named in the address. There are some exceptions where the addressee is a minor or where the addressee will have provided for a nominated person to sign on their behalf. This cannot be used in conjunction with prepaid Parcel Post satchels..

• Price: $5.50 per article

Extra Cover (formerly Insurance)

All Registered Post mailings for delivery within Australia include compensation to $100.

• Extra Cover of up to $5000 per article can be purchased for $1.30 per $100 or part thereof, up to the $5000 maximum

 Registered Post International

The Registered Post International service accommodates both letters and parcels weighing up to 2kg. The service features differ depending on which of these items you are sending.

Registered Post International Parcels

Registered Post International Parcels offers an added security service for merchandise items, proof of posting, and a signature on delivery.

It is available for items weighing between 500g - 2kg with a value less than $500. It offers reliable delivery within three to ten business days between metropolitan areas of major cities.*

Registered Post International Letters

Registered Post International is an added security service for letters and documents up to 500g to almost any address in the world. It offers reliable delivery within three to seven business days between metropolitan areas of major cities.*

Main features of the service are:

• proof of posting provided when lodged at a post office counter
• assigned record of delivery can be available in most countries
• discounts available for bulk purchase.

* Standard delivery times between metropolitan areas of major cities and excludes time in customs if applicable, and may be subject to delay due to causes outside of Australia Post's control.
