Australia Post Annual Report 2005/06

We are the principal sponsor of the National Australia Day Council’s luncheons, which are held in cities around Australia. Each year, to coincide with Australia Day, Australia Post presents the Australian Legends Award to recognise the work of a living Australian treasure. This year’s Legends were Barry Humphries and his alter ego Dame Edna Everage – the first character ever to receive the award. Click here to see the Australian Legend stamps.

Australia Post was an official sponsor of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and the Australian team. Click here for more about our involvement with the Games.

In 2005/06 we also sponsored the Australian Open Tennis Championships for the fourth consecutive year.
