| Where can I buy my Commonwealth Games stamps and coins? |
Orders can be placed via mail order by calling 1800 331 794 (within Aust. only) or from participating Australia Post outlets.

| What are instant stamps? |
"Instant" stamps are so called because they are printed very quickly and are available at selected outlets within 24 hours of a Gold Medal win. An instant stamp will be produced by Australia Post to
commemorate the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and each Australian Gold
Medal win at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Instant stamps will
be available in sheetlets of five or 10 stamps and will comprise four
different sheetlet releases culminating in a “Most Memorable Moment”
sheetlet that will feature the outstanding Australian moment of the Melbourne
2006 Commonwealth Games.
15 March 2006 – Opening Ceremony (five x 50c stamps available from 16 March 2006)
16 to 26 March 2006 – Australian Champions (sheetlets issued daily from 17 March 2006)
26 March 2006 – Closing Ceremony (five x 50c stamps available from 27 March 2006)
27 March 2006 – Most Memorable Moment (10 x 50c stamps available from 28 March 2006). [Back to top] |

| Which stamps will the Commonwealth Games Collection include? |
The Commonwealth Games Collection will be presented as a
beautifully bound book and will feature all of the sheetlets issued under
the "instant" stamp program including, Australian Champions (Gold
Medal winners), Most Memorable Moment and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
In addition, the Collection will feature all of the commemorative stamps
issued for the Commonwealth Games and the 2005 Queen's Birthday stamp which
featured the Commonwealth Games Logo on it.

| Can I buy just one instant stamp? |
Stamps issued as part of the instant stamp program will only
be available in sheetlets of five or 10.

| When will my Post Office
get its stock of instant stamps? |
Major Melbourne metropolitan outlets will have stock within 24 hours of a Gold Medal win (including Showcase). Most other outlets should have stock available within two days but please check with your local Australia Post outlet. [Back to top] |

| What are "filler" stamps and how will they be used? |
There will be three stamps issued as part of the instant
stamp program that will be used to complete sheetlets of five or 10
stamps when less than that number of Gold Medals are won on any one day.
The three "filler" stamps are titled Humanity, Equality and Destiny.
The first day a "filler" stamp appears will represent that stamp's
first day of issue.

be in the 2006 Collection of Australian Stamps? |
Stamp sheetlets issued as part of the instant stamp program
will not be included in the 2006 Collection of Australian stamps. Australia
Post will be producing a special commemorative Commonwealth Games Collection
featuring all the stamps issued as part of the instant stamp program.

at the end of the Games? |
Yes, sheetlets of instant stamps will remain on sale from
Australia Post for several months after the Games have concluded.

| What postmarks can I get on my Gold Medallist covers if I send them into the Australian Philatelic Bureau? |

| How soon after the Games am I able to send in my private covers to be postmarked by the Philatelic Bureau? |
We ask that you send your private covers in for postmarking
as soon as possible and include a $5 payment for postage and handling. There
may be some delay in returning your covers as we expect a large number of
postmarking requests.
