The postal administration of JAPAN has advised that it is strictly prohibited to import weapons, parts and accessories thereof, ammunition and narcotics into Japan, unless an official permit issued by the competent authorities has been obtained.
According to Japanese customs authorities, the illegal import of handguns, weapons and narcotics is still continuing, resulting in serious crimes being committed in Japan. The mail service is presumed to be one of the routes used for illegal imports.
