Registered Post International Parcels (NEW)

Registered Post International Parcels offers an added security service for merchandise items, proof of posting, and a signature on delivery, for only $5 more than Air Mail.
It is available for items weighing between 500g to 2kg with a value less than $500. It offers reliable delivery within 3 to 10 business days between metropolitan areas of major cities.*

Packaging

Registered Post International Parcel prepaid padded bags are available in two sizes at Australia Post outlets:

Alternatively you can use your own packaging, or use the Postpak range available from postal outlets. Our packaging guidelines will help ensure your article is accepted and will travel safely.

As articles sent internationally may suffer climate extremes for extended periods, Australia Post may refuse to accept articles which are not adequately packaged.

Documentation

Registered Post International Parcel prepaid padded bags have consignment notes attached, which address aviation security requirements. These must be completed and signed.

Non-prepaid articles must have a Registered Post International consignment note completed and attached. These are available from retail outlets. The consignment notes are carbon copies, so cannot be provided for downland from the Internet.

Lodgement

Registered Post International prepaid and non-prepaid items must be lodged over the counter in a postal outlet. They can not be posted in gold or street posting boxes otherwise they will be subjected to security delays and may not be delivered.

Packaging

Envelopes are available in two sizes, small DL size (130 x 240mm) and large B5 size (250 x 353mm). They can carry documents weighing up to 500grams.

Documentation

Simply sign the declaration on the envelope. No further documentation is required.

Lodgement

• At any Australia Post outlet.
• In a street posting box if proof of posting is not required.
