Image. Swimmer Do you have a special diet as part of your preparation?:

I'm lucky when it comes to eating. I love to eat lots of fruit, vegetables and meat which are all good when you are an athlete and as long as I am swimming I manage to burn up all the energy from whatever else I eat.

How do you prepare on the day of a big event?:

I don't have a preparation or routine before I swim. In fact I try to think of anything else besides my swim. I am an avid reader and usually read, listen to music or just generally chat to those around me.

Do you have a lucky charm?:

No - no lucky charms. Not superstitious at all.
