Password Changes
Australia Post's tracking system, introduced on 1 June 2009, now has enhanced security requirements.
In the old system, passwords never expired. In the new system, to meet current best practice, all users are required to reset their password every 90 days.
This will not adversely impact those users who do not share accounts. You will be prompted to reset your password, a new password is entered and remains current for 90 days.
If you are in the situation where your users share accounts, we recommend the password is changed before Sunday 30 August 2009. Then advise all your users of the new password. This should prevent account lock outs.
If you do experience a lock out, please call the Australia Post Service Desk on 1800 287 457 and they will arrange a password reset. Please note this will only be effective once you have advised your staff of the new password.
